Cinderella Lives
This is my son's beautiful girlfriend, Nikki. She has started her own business "The Face Painting Robot". She has been expanding her services beyond face painting and came up with character costumes. Here she is with my son's new Golden Doodle -Dexter.

RIP Drizzy
In 2004 a red haired lass offered
“free to a good home”
A 2 y/o black lab,
housebroken & glad
To go where
Serenity roams.
A loyal companion w/ a watchful eye,
He was Happy, Joyous & Free.
He’d lick your knees, ready to please.
A gift of Recovery.
In recent weeks he had become
A shell of his healthy wag.
A decision was made to spare him more
Grief than he could drag.

Sorting Wool
I posted a couple days ago about my acquisition of the box of wool squares. Since then, I have signed up for a wool crazy quilt round robin. To help organize I emptied the box and sorted by color. I am amazed at how many different wools. I may consider selling some in my Etsy shop.

Before and after for my Paris/France Round Robin Block. I received it a while ago, but have been remiss in posting. I think it is marvelous!

Wool Square Project
This Summer while driving to Milan, MI for the Blue Grass Festival, Fuzzy and I stopped at a rummage sale. It was my favorite kind of sale.. You take anything you want and pay whatever you think it is worth... The proceeds benefit the Susan Komen Foundation. There was TONS of stuff and they were almost done for the day. I happened upon this gem. It is a box full of pre-cut wool squares... Someone had probably intended to make a quilt. They have sat in my sewing room until recently.
I was involved in a Secret Santa Swap and my giftee mentioned that she wanted a wool pincushion. I consulted this website for directions and ended up with this.
It was fun to do... except for the choice that I made for the bottom of ultra suede... VERY difficult to hand sew through... However I think it turned out so nice, I am planning to make myself one.
