Disco Ball

Before July ends, I wanted to post one last picture. This  is our latest Garage sale find last weekend in Mishawaka. Fuzzy's eyes about popped out of his head when he saw this for $3. I'll let the picture speak for itself. For now it is hanging on a hook outsde the back door. But I am sure it will be up above the dance floor in the pole barn soon.

Grandpa's New Friend

We took Chloe down with us when we went to visit my dad in Indiana. He has been having a hard time dealing with my step-mother being in a nursing home. He really got along well with Chloe, and was just tickled that she jumped on the bed with him to take his nap.

Hydrangeas

So beautiful, taken at a neighbor of my dad's in Indiana while visiting this past weekend. I have tried growing them but had no luck. After this inspiration I may try again!

Asian 2 Round Robin

With the first Asian Round Robin complete, I am ready to start another block around. This one again is blue and white theme. The players this time are Meg in South America, Rita in KS, Candji in OH, and Peggy in FL.   Stay tuned for updates.

Elsie Dairy Festival

Elsie, is a town about 15 Miles away and have an annual Dairy Festival. The famous "Elsie the Cow" is named after the city and their large dairy farms. Fuzzy's friend from work and his brothers performed as a band and we had an enjoyable afternoon watching. Quite a talented trio. The bass player works with Fuzzy and he has a nickname of Fuzzy's son, as they both have similar (wierd) interests.

Garage Sales and Gardens

We ventured out this morning in search of yard sales. We happened upon this sale and while there we noticed the outstanding garden. Pat, our new friend, graciously allowed Fuzzy to take pictures for your inspiration as well as ours. First a picture to prove it acutally was a garage sale, note the boxes in the corner with merchandise....Now enjoy the garden tour!

Finished Heart Block

I received my beautiful Hearts Round Robin block back in the mail this week. I am above thrilled with it!

Rita's Flower Fairy Block

Here is my block I finished for Rita. This is my last Flower Fairy Block. I don't do much silk ribbon embroidery, but I thought the daisies turned out pretty good. The bunny was machine embroidered onto felt, trimed, and then tacked to block.

Fireworks 2010

My hubbie likes taking pics of fireworks. Our little town had a decent display the other night. Of the 50 or so he took, these two turned out pretty good......

Sights around Charlotte, MI

A few pictures taken while attending the Bluegrass festival last weekend in Charlotte.

A beautiful home, and right next to the Dairy Queen.

Old rail station converted to a Pizzaria. We tried the pizza, fantastic.
