Dee's Completed Block

Here is Dee's completed block for the Under the Sea Round Robin. I am the last to work on it. I did the mermaid using a pin that I bought at one time.. Also added some lace for seaweed, beads, and misc charms and shells. It's a charming block.



New Fairy Tale Round Robin to Start

 The Round Robin that begins in May is formally called "Anything Goes".  I took that to mean I could pick any theme I wanted. So, I used some vintage illustrations from children's fairy tale books. I am excited to see how they turn out!

Tatting Shuttle?

Can someone help me identify what this is? I got it at an estate sale. Is it a tatting shuttle?

Karaoke with Friends

 My hubbie's long-time friend has a daughter who is showing herself to be a terrific singer. We met a a local VFW to watch her perform karaoke. Here is 18 year old Lana belting the Patsy Cline tune, "Strange".

Fuzzy decided to strut his stuff too. His confidence with soaring with his new duds and fancy hat I picked out for him. He sang his "signature" tune, "Mustang Sally".

The two of them ended with a rousing rendition of "Bobby McGee". We hope to meet up with them again, Maybe next time I will get up on stage!

Dad's Jeans

My dad is becoming a renaissance man. This year he acquired a cell phone and his first pair of Jeans! Here is is modeling them with the Cubs jacket my brother bought him. Pretty dapper for 86!

Fairies, Fairies, Fairies Round Robin

Another Round Robin will begin the middle of this month. I am doing another Fairy Round Robin, but this time chose different vintage images. Here are the blocks before embellishment.
