Blocks for Sendai

The online crazy quilting community is collecting blocks to make quilts to be displayed to raise money for the earthquake victims. I have finished my two blocks and will be mailing them off tomorrow.

I purchased this pin at a garage sale. I was told it is Japanese, but do not know what it stands for? Can anyone help?

Garage Sale Goodies

Garage and rummage sale season is in full swing. I always look for pretty vintage linens for use at home or to cut and using in my crazy quilting. These are some I acquired at sales over the last two weeks. None cost over 50cents.

Mother's Day Giveaway Win

I follow blogs of many creative people. One of those is Patricia Eaton.  Her blog is Bird's Nest on the Ground.  She recently had a giveaway, and I was the lucky winner.  Included was a beautiful recipe box and cards, Vintage apron and table runner, and a pendant made of the case of a watch pin. Mother's Day 2011

Mother's Day was peaceful and relaxing. Went out to lunch at a Chinese restaurant with my son. Later, when Fuzzy came home he surprised me with this little cake.

Finished Under the Sea Block

Before and After Pics for the Block I sent around for the Under the Sea Round Robin. I got the frame at a rummage sale for $1, I think the Piece looks great in it.
