Thrift Store Gown

We made an impromptu stop at the Salvation Army in Coldwater, MI on the way home from Indiana last weekend. Couldn't pass up the big 50% off sign in the window. I got a couple cool things. One was this wedding gown, that and a gorgeous train were priced together at $12. The dress is made of an overlay of venice lace flowers, probably about 200-300. Even in our little town of Owosso, wedding gowns at the thrift store are $85-100 and rarely are included in the sales. I would be interested in them for the lace and fabric for crazy quilting....So I think this was a steal.
This train was sold with the dress, but I do not think they go together. It is almost 7ft. long and has loads of lace and satin. I thought the 3 satin roses at the top were worth the price of the train.

  1. WOW WOW WOW you sure got a deal for $12 - here at our ValuVillage bridal gowns start at $50 and I just can't afford that. Some day I'll hit on a find like this - AWESOME!!! You have enough lace and satin to last you years of CQing, that is if you don't resell it.
