Well, I did not complete my daily "Blogtoberfest" posts. But I did post more this month than any so far. I think I had good excuses, starting a new part time job and going to Indiana 2x to care for my aging Father.... I'm leaving you with some spooky inspirations.... And before you say anything. Chloe only wore her pumpkin suit for about 20 minutes total. She doesn't look too happy with it does she?

CQ Ornaments 2011
These are the ornaments I made this year for the annual swap I am a part of. I tried the round ones this year, usually just make stockings.
Paula's Bird Block
I have had this block a while and kept looking at what I could add. After reading Paula's wishes, she said she loved butterflies as well as birds. So I decided to make one using my embroidery machine on fabric made of Angelina Fibers. Here is the result. I embroidered the flowers using the print on the white fabric as the pattern.

My Bird Round Robin Block
This is my block I pieced for the Bird Round Robin, I love how the colors go together.
Joyce was the first to work on it. I love the peacock and how she echoed the silkie picture with her hummingbird motif. Can's wait to see what the rest of the "gang" comes up with.

Strawberry Shortcake Anyone?
I have been an admirer of those glass garden totems for a while. Basically you take old glassware, dishes, pottery, etc. Glue them together and put them in the garden. They can be beautiful. I have been collecting glass over the summer, but hadn't had enough courage to put one together. With my husband home over the weekend, we decided to give it a try by working on a "joke" totem for a friend. Mistakes and flaws would be ok. My hubbie and his friend have a running joke about Strawberry Shortcake and they are sending gag gifts both ways. So we decided to make a Strawberry Shortcake totem. What do you think?

Beaded Spider
Thanks to the link here, I was able to complete my first beaded spider. I think he turned out nice for my first try. I need a little practice on making loops on the bottom.... I thought he was appropriate for a header in October...

Durand Quilt Show 2011
Fuzzy and I attended the quilt show in Durand this year. It was nice, but the absence of crazy quilts was evident. I need to get on the ball for next year. Here are a few highlights.
